Implemented all aspects of Syncrude’s water management programs
Worked on CAP, DB2 and UE-1 water programs
Lead comprehensive study on treatment and reuse of tailings pond water involving the use of evaporators and crystallizers
Served as Technical Manager of the Utilities plant with responsibility for process, mechanical, electrical and process engineering support
Implemented comprehensive boiler tube failure prevention program
Supported most tailings management programs including CT using gypsum
Studied and recommended process aid solutions for the Aurora mine
Interfaced with Alberta Environment and AEUB on water management issues
Lead water expert on dry FGD system for the cokers

Participated and advised on corrosion problems associated with the use of process-affected water

Shell Jackpine

Developed an in-house model to predict river water demand
Developed chloride prediction model to predict chloride concentrations in the process-affected water over time
Compared in-house model with external created CANMET model

CNRL, Horizon Project

Since 2002 have guided and influenced all the water management aspects of this project
